Local and traditional food

In Sandefjord you can buy local food and traditional Norwegian food. Buy traditional food at local farms or at local shops in the town.

Nodre Bergan Gård is a farm shop with sale of own produced food and food from other local suppliers. The farm produces corn, peas, apples, apple juice, pumpkin, honey, some flowers and ornamental corn.

 

Knatten Fruit Farm produces fruit and delicious apple juice. The apple juice has a delicious taste and is made without added sugar or other sweeteners. The farm is idyllically located only 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of Sandefjord. Knatten Farm shop is open during summer season.

 

Brødrene Berggren is one of the oldest seafood-shops in the country and is situated idyllically at the harbour. Here you will find a rich selection of fish and other seafood. The building also houses the restaurant Brygga 11, a well-renowned seafood-restaurant, owned by Geir Skeie - the winner of Bocuse d'Or 2009.

 

Baker Halvorsen is well known for its "Kosmos cake" a sponge-cake with filling and marzipan. The bakery is a cosy place to have cup of coffee and try our Norwegian cakes and pastries.

 

Håndverkeren Kaffebrenneri is a specialized shop for coffee and tea. Here you can buy the freshest coffee in town. Exciting teas from around the world. In addition they have a wide range of delicious chocolates and nice gifts.

Matlykke in Sandefjord is a deli that makes homemade food. Norwegian, Italian and Spanish sausages, and various fresh and well-matured cheeses. At Matlykke you can also sit in the cafe and enjoy food created with seasonal ingredients.
