Lågendalen

Travelling north and inland from Larvik you can follow the Numendalslågen river. Lågendalen is the name of the valley that winds from Bommestad in Larvik to Kongsberg. Mostly slow moving, but at times quite rapid, the Numendalslågen river makes it´s way from Hardangervidda through the Buskerud and Vestfold counties until it eventually flows out into the Larvik fjord.

Here you will find nature, animal life, culture and activities for both the young and the old. Norway's largest climbing park and numerous small valley farms in the summer and a ski center with great slopes and cross-country tracks during the winter months makes this valley ideal for vacations with children of all ages. Varied cultural experiences, salmon fishing and both wild and peaceful nature are on offer for those looking for a more adult vacation. Be entertained or look for challenges alone or with others.

Lågendalen is perfect whether you are looking for adventure or just peace and quiet.
